We spent an excellent 11 nights on this site. there was a good mix of nationaliaties. we were made to feel very welcome and joined in with some of the activities laid on which covered the whole family range. the pitches were of good size and the facilities were very clean. Excellent site.

We used Le Clos Auroy for an overnight stop whilst returning from the winter spent in Spain. The site is very clean and tidy, and the reception when you arrive is excellent. Large Hedged and marked pitches give the site a spacious feel, but retain a cosy atmosphere. Facilities look superb, although the pool, bar and restaurant are not fully operational out of season. The village itself is well worth a visit, there's a good selection of local cheeses in the shop. Look out also for the daily baker's van to call. Croissants, bread and patisserie are superb.. We are heading back to Spain in October, and we will certainly try to use the site again, maybe for longer so that we can explore the are a bit more this time. I'm also placing this review onto http://www.xetronella.com together with a "recommended" status for use as a stop for those travelling South and North out of season. Hello Rene,
We stayed on your site recently and had a very nice time. We will be coming back next year. I tried to put a message on your site to say how good it was but it is not showing maybe there is a problem. Regards to you and your family, Liz & Jim Cross England Liz.Potts@telewest.co.uk

Also surprised by the lack of entries in your guest book. We stayed with you for 2 weeks and wish we could have returned this year, a relocation to scotland has stopped that plan - next year though! We loved every minute of our stay - a spotless campsite, excellent facilities, the most enourmous pitches we have ever seen, plenty to keep 2 lively boys entertained - yet peaceful and a great feeling of safety. A beautiful area to visit. Our first trip to France with our trailer tent was a great success thanks to le clos auroy - highly recommended - none better Alison and Martin Cockcroft 8 Ropner Avenue Stockton-on-Tees Cleveland TS18 4HG cockcroft@ntlworld.com
Rather surprised to learn that there are no entries yet in your guestbook on the web site. To put this to rights we'd like to say that having had, we think two full week stays at Le Clos Auroy plus two stop-overs when going to Forcalquier in Provence in the summer of 1999 we rate Orcet as one of our top rated destinations. The welcome at Le Clos Auroy is always warm - to the point of personal recognition from one year to the next (our next stay will be with both a new car & caravan so that may confuse!) - the weather seems to stay excellent all year - our two long stays have been in the autumn @ grape harvest time &, despite sometimes freezing nights, day time temperatures have usually meant shorts & t-shirts! Add the friendly ambience, many local walks/short drives taking in neighbouring towns & villages not to mention the unique volcanic landscape, Orcet village itself and the friendly Mini-Marche self service shop selling Orcet's own wines plus the convenience of the best pizza van on the planet a short drive around the corner & Limagrain's St. Verny winery at Veyre-Menton down the road who needs to go anywhere else? Our only hope is that not too many people find out about you as we want to always find a place at Le Clos Auroy when we want to stay. Pat, my wife, has even got her eye on specific pitches now!
